The Seoul Metropolitan Government is going to put on the Seoul Kimchi Making and Sharing Festival starting on November 14 and running through to the 16th. This event will take place in front of City Hall at Seoul Plaza, Gwanghwamun Square, and a few other spots around the city. The making of kimchi is known as Kimjang and is actually a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage piece as it is a unique part of Korean food culture. For almost 800 years it has been a part of daily meals. From home cooked meals to feasts for kings, this dish was always served. You too can take part in the event.

Kimchi Spartan Race : Nov. 16 (Sun), 15:00, at Sejong-daero
Closing Ceremony : Nov. 16 (Sun), 16:30, at Gwanghwamun North Square
